Svanehøj to supply pumps for 15 LNG dual-fuel container vessels

Danish marine pump specialist Svanehøj has gained an order from China’s Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding to supply fuel pump systems for 15 new construct dual-fuel LNG container vessels (7000 TEU).

The 30 deepwell gasoline pumps shall be delivered between August 2022 and January 2024.
This is one of Svanehøj’s largest LNG fuel-related orders thus far. It can be the second LNG fuel pump systems order that Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding has positioned with Svanehøj in the last year. Svanehøj quadrupled gross sales of its patented deepwell gas pumps in 2021, and says there are lots of indications that gross sales may improve even further in 2022.
“Until a quantity of years ago, the use of LNG as a marine gasoline was restricted to LNG carriers and smaller ships.
