The Samui Slam Beach Volleyball Tournament & Training Camp might be held next month on the island of Koh Samui in the southern province of Surat Thani. It will run from September 18 to 24 at the beautiful SEEN Beach Club on Chaweng Beach.
Promising to be an exciting sporting occasion, the Samui Slam is originated by organiser Biggs Island Productions (BIP) and compliments the annual ‘Samui Open’ Beach Volleyball Tournament, a popular yearly match scheduled for the sixth 12 months in March 2024.
The organizers say the popularity of these events acknowledge the rising global interest and draw of Beach Volleyball. A mixture of athletes from overseas and Thai and foreign nationals will participate in the Samui Slam.
The tournament coincides with a four-day volleyball coaching camp that runs from September 18 to 21 whereas the three-day beach volleyball match itself will happen from September 22 to 24.
The coaching camp will be headed up by a professional world-ranking volleyball coach from Europe. Volleyball fanatics can register for the training camp or the tournament, or both.
The occasion is co-sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) which is providing a complimentary tour of Koh Samui island to all members as a half of their ‘Amazing Thailand’ promotions.
Koh Samui is well-liked for its white sandy beaches, good for beach volleyball, and its vibrant nightlife. Like past volleyball occasions have been well-known for, Samui Slam includes a festive welcome party and nightly events at sponsor venues.
The September seaside volleyball tournament will observe the training camp, working from 9am to 6pm daily between September 22-24. Censored will be competing for cash and prizes. Spectators are welcome and will enjoy free entry to Samui Slam for all three days. On-site concession stands will function volleyball merchandise and drink specials.
The worldwide event has gained the help of the TAT in addition to the Koh Samui Municipality. Organizer Biggs Island Productions recruited the gorgeous venues of SEEN Beach Club and Avani Chaweng Samui Hotel to host the occasion, with the latter offering particular occasion package deal choices and charges. Event organizer Cord Biggs expressed his excitement.
“Samui Slam is proud to promote beach volleyball in South East Asia and on Koh Samui and to hold this thrilling beach sporting event on our lovely island.”
