Rotork has been working with BAE Systems to improve a sequence of A-range actuators to IQ3 actuators which function penstocks controlling movement of ships between the ocean and transitional locks and dry docks at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth (HMNB Portsmouth).
A series of A-range actuators had reached the end of their operational life after long service in a challenging surroundings. เกจ์วัดแรงดัน wanted to retain all the benefits of electrical actuators, so IQ3 actuators had been chosen. These needed to be specifically adapted by Rotork to beat problems around confined spaces and tough entry.
IQ3 actuators and IS gearboxes were mechanically tailored in order that each actuator and gearbox could possibly be operated by hand without getting into the confined space. Rotork designed special hand auto levers and thru drive mechanisms for the actuator and gearbox to eliminate the need for confined house access.
Actuators inside the IQ vary are watertight, providing ingress protection to IP66/68 at 20 m for 10 days. They have a sophisticated dual stacked show with configurable information logger performance, and an absolute place sensor supplies reliability and accuracy.
