The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Thailand has issued a warning to hair colouring lovers after discovering that three South Korean hair-dyeing products include cancer-causing chemical compounds.
The FDA identified the products as Seedbee’s Water Colouring Medium Brown and Seedbee’s Water Colouring Wine Brown, both produced by Soky C&T Co Ltd, and Mielle Professional’s Blondie Anne Treatment Colour Cream, manufactured by JPS Cosmetics Co Ltd.
According to the FDA’s report, the hair dye sample lab checks revealed that the three products contained o-aminophenol and m-Phenylenediamine, that are prohibited in cosmetics because of their hazardous nature. Malachi Co Ltd imports the Seedbee merchandise, whereas Dimensionhair Co Ltd imports the Mielle product, Bangkok Post reported.
