In a shocking incident from Chachoengsao, a 12 yr old boy suffered severe burns masking 70% of his body after his good friend doused him in alcohol while burning rubbish. The offending child’s mom, a teacher by profession, tried to settle the case by paying 2,000 baht (US$57) and suggesting the victim’s family report the incident to the police.
The traumatising event occurred on June 26, at round 7.30pm, in the housing neighborhood at Noen Takro, Chachoengsao province. The horrific accident left the kid in a critical condition, lying unconscious in the hospital, and his family apprehensive and determined for justice. The victim’s household shared their traumatic experience on Facebook which then sparked social outrage, reported Sanook. The Deputy Inspector of the local police, Arttaphan Kotchasi, said…
“Kids have been burning garbage together within the neighbourhood. One of them began the hearth and sprinkled alcohol on it. Then, he turned the flame in the direction of the sufferer who was urinating. Premiere brought on the boy’s clothing and physique to catch hearth leading to extreme accidents.”
The offending child’s father or mother said…
“I agreed to assist initially. I stated I would contribute 5000 baht in the direction of the medical bills. But I’ve only given 2000 baht so far.”
Treasure and father of the offender have been supposed to satisfy with the victim’s household on the native police station on July 2 to debate the incident and fulfil their promise. However, they failed to indicate up.
Police have yet to announce a conclusion to the incident.
