5 Pattani males arrested for allegedly posing as law enforcement officials to extort locals

5 males who had been posing as cops in southern Thailand’s Pattani province were arrested yesterday. The suspects allegedly extorted drug-taking residents or youngsters out of money or property.
The Yaring police have been alerted that males were portraying themselves as members of the Yaring police at a village in the Laem Pho Subdistrict. The Nation Thailand says the boys dressed as law enforcement officials and had “armours” with police on the chest.
